4 August 2026: first-half pre-tax profit rose 23% to $19.5bn and HSBC raised its 2026 net interest income guidance to more than $46bn. It also restarted share buybacks with a programme of up to $1bn as wealth revenue continued to grow strongly.

Dividend notes

Pays quarterly in US dollars. The 2025 fourth interim dividend of $0.45 went ex-dividend in London on 12 March 2026 and was paid on 30 April. The first 2026 interim of $0.10 went ex-dividend on 14 May and was paid on 26 June; a second $0.10 interim was declared on 4 August.
