Early- and growth-stage investment, portfolio development, university partnerships, company formation, follow-on funding and realisation of investments through trade sales, licensing and public markets.
Primarily UK science and technology, with growing international partnerships and exposure to healthcare, biotechnology, deep tech, artificial intelligence and clean energy.
Portfolio-company funding rounds, clinical and technical milestones, successful exits, licensing income, private-market valuations, new fund partnerships and cash returns from mature investments.
High failure rates in early-stage companies, illiquidity, valuation uncertainty, long development times, clinical and regulatory failure, funding-market weakness and concentration in individual breakthrough assets.
