JPMorgan American Investment Trust is an actively managed investment trust focused on US equities. It seeks long-term capital growth from a diversified portfolio combining large established companies with selected higher-growth opportunities.
Investment in US-listed equities across technology, financials, healthcare, consumer, industrial and other sectors, with active stock selection and selective gearing.
The United States equity market, although many holdings are multinational companies generating revenue around the world.
US corporate earnings, stock selection, economic growth, interest rates, technology and AI investment, equity valuations, sterling-dollar movements and discount management.
Concentration in one national equity market, high valuations in major growth shares, stock-selection errors, currency movements, gearing and the shares trading at a discount to net asset value.
1 April 2026: the trust published its annual report and proposed the 8.75p final dividend. During 2026 it has also continued repurchasing shares, using buybacks as part of its approach to managing the discount to net asset value.
Income is secondary to capital growth. The 2025 final dividend of 8.75p per share went ex-dividend on 16 April 2026 and was paid on 29 May. No further 2026 ex-dividend date had been declared by mid-July.
