Recent Developments

1 June 2026: half-year results showed a 2.0% NAV return for the six months to March against 6.7% for TOPIX, although the 12-month NAV return was 24.5% versus 23.4% for the benchmark. The trust repurchased 4.5m shares during the half year.

Dividend notes

Income is secondary to capital growth and the trust normally pays one annual dividend. The latest annual dividend was 8.70p per share and was paid during the six months to March 2026. No new 2026 dividend or ex-dividend date had been announced by 14 August.
