Recent Developments

25 July 2026: first-half attributable profit was about £3.0bn and return on tangible equity 19.7%. Management lifted 2026 total-income guidance to around £17.9bn and expects RoTE above 19%; investors should also watch the integration of Evelyn Partners and the estimated c.£10bn increase in risk-weighted assets when Basel 3.1 starts in January 2027.

Dividend notes

Strong capital-return policy, with ordinary dividends targeted at around 50% of attributable profit alongside buybacks. The 2025 final dividend was 23.0p, ex-dividend 19 March 2026 and paid 5 May. The 2026 interim is 12.0p, ex-dividend 13 August and payable 18 September 2026.
