Company summary

PageGroup is a global professional recruitment company operating the Michael Page, Page Personnel and Page Executive brands. It places candidates in permanent, temporary and contract roles across professional and technical disciplines.

02

Key activities

Permanent and temporary recruitment, executive search, contract staffing and specialist professional recruitment across finance, technology, engineering, legal, sales, marketing and other functions.

03

Key markets

A broad international footprint across Europe, Asia-Pacific and the Americas, with the UK and continental Europe remaining important markets.

04

Key drivers

Hiring confidence, vacancy levels, permanent placements, temporary volumes, fee rates, consultant productivity, headcount discipline and the pace of recovery in global recruitment markets.

05

Key risks

Economic downturns, prolonged hiring freezes, weak business confidence, wage and consultant costs, regulatory changes to temporary work, AI-driven disruption, competition and currency movements.

06

Recent Developments

6 August 2026: first-half operating profit improved to £9.7m and pre-tax profit to £6.5m, but the interim dividend was cut sharply to preserve flexibility. Full-year operating profit guidance is around £28m; cost savings are supporting earnings while recruitment remains weak in the UK and Europe but firmer in parts of the Americas and Asia-Pacific.

07

Dividend notes

Dividend levels have been reduced as recruitment markets weakened. The 2025 final dividend was 3.21p, ex-dividend 14 May 2026 and paid 17 June. The 2026 interim has been cut to 1.46p, ex-dividend 27 August and payable 9 October; special dividends remain dependent on excess cash and trading conditions.
