06

Recent Developments

23 April 2026: underlying operating profit for FY2025/26 was £1.025bn, but the company guided to £975m-£1.075bn for FY2026/27 amid weaker consumer confidence and inflationary pressure linked to Middle East disruption. Grocery remains resilient, while Argos, cost control and the 22 October interim results are important 2027 indicators.
