18 June 2026: Q1 FY2026/27 like-for-like sales rose 3.3%, while total sales increased 5.6% including the contribution from Booker. Tesco continues to defend market share through Clubcard pricing and value investment, with the October half-year results providing the next important indication of margins, cash generation and the 2027 earnings outlook.

Dividend notes

Tesco pays dividends twice yearly and also returns surplus capital through share buybacks. The FY2025/26 final dividend was 9.70p per share, ex-dividend 14 May 2026 and paid on 26 June; the next interim dividend is expected to be declared with the October 2026 half-year results.
